Readers of this page may have noticed how difficult it’s been to post comments of late. Reason: We were accosted by a flood of very unwelcome spam, forcing us to put up some tightly defensive filters. Right now, it is possible for you to post comments if you’re willing to take a few minutes to sign-up for a Type-key account. The Typekey account can be used on hundreds of Movable Type weblogs on the Internet. Click on “comments” at the bottom of a blog and a pop-up screen will appear. On the sign-up form, they want a one-word user name and password (You can ignore the request for a “TypeKey token”.)

After you’ve done the registration, you need to wait a few minutes until you receive an e-mail to activate your account. Once you have responded to that you can then sign-in with your name and password and blog away!
